The Cpod project started as a result of a need to find solutions to fix some of the issues with ergonomic chairs including:  

1. People do not like to adjust chairs if it is too complicated.
2. How do we get total contact back support in chair designs.
3. Is it possible to get true 3 dimensional dynamic movement in office chair designs.
4. Finding a local manufacturing solution for chair designs according to local population stature.
5. Making high end ergonomic chair manufacturing environment friendly and cost effective by reducing the transportation of whole chairs from overseas. 
6. How do we use soft feel (elastomer) mesh in chair construction instead of abrasive woven mesh. 

The project took 6 1/2 years  to completion.

After 2 years of its initial launch, Cpod chairs are now being manufactured with the back support and dynamic technology components coming directly from Cpod and all other components and manufacturing done locally.
